Dear Layla,
From the moment I knew you were coming into this world, I fell in love with you. A love so deep, it consumes me and drives me to be the best version of myself for you. From the first kick I felt in your mother’s stomach, I knew I would do anything for you. I have dedicated my mind, body, spirit, and soul to you, my sweet daughter.
As a new father, deeply in love with you, I never saw the end of a tunnel. I only saw myself running out of one, running towards you and everything you needed. I ran through every challenge, every obstacle, because you asked for my hustle and I gave you my heart.
You have given me my biggest dream, and for that, I will always love you. I wish the time we have together could last forever, but I know that one day my body will know it is time to say goodbye. And that’s okay. When that day comes, I will be ready to let you go, not because I want to, but because you have given me the greatest gift of all – life. Until then, I want to savor every moment we have left together, the good and the bad. We have given each other everything we have, and no matter what we do next, I will always be the excited young man, full of love, standing next to your mother, waiting for the doctor to place you in my arms.
